Wednesday Night #1 Event Sign-upExpiredAthletes, select your event preferences for our next meet. The selections are in the order that they will be run during the meet (minus the relays). Unless you are a pole vaulter, you should sign up for at least 2 events. The maximum number of events you can participate in is 4. FanCloth SpiritWear Store In an effort to not ask our athletes to sell discount cards or other unrelated items, our Fancloth SpiritWear store will also serve as our main fundraiser for this season. The expectation is that every athlete on the team purchase 5 items -- either by purchasing for yourself or getting family and friends to purcahse an item under the athlete's name. Credit/Debit card payments will be processed at the time the order is placed. Your items will be shipped directly to the address you supplied during checkout. Expect your items to be shipped out 6-7 weeks plus shipping after the conclusion of the fundraising campaign. The store will open on Monday, January 8th and will close on Monday, January 22nd!

Preseason ConditioningExpiredHere are couple of important things you need to know regarding preseason practices: Please don't come out to participate unless your physical has been uploaded to DragonFly Max and approved by Dawn Truskowski in the front office. If you are not sure if you have been approved or not, please check your status on Dragonfly. The top reasons for not being approved are: Not listing track as one of your sports Not including insurance information Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring your own water bottle. Check the weather each morning before you pack your training clothes. If I need to cancel practice for any reason, I will post it in our GroupMe. If you haven't joined the GroupMe, you can do so here: https://groupme.com/join_group/97381249/3ET0NDQd While it is certainly encouraged, participating in preseason conditioning is completely optional. If you are currently in a winter sport like basketball, wrestling, or swimming, focus on that sport and join us when your season is over. Participating in preseason conditioning will have no bearing on whether or not you are able to participate in varsity meets once the season starts. Our season officially starts on Monday, January 8th!

2023 Meet ScheduleExpiredHere is our meet schedule for the year. 2023 Meet Schedule Keep in mind that an athlete cannot compete in more than ten meets during the year (excluding the region, sectional , and state meets). Also, most varsity meets have an entry limit per event, which ultimatley dictates how many athletes we can bring to a vasrity meet. Typically, it is the top 3 or 4 athletes in each event that will compete at the varsity level.

Registration DuesExpiredOur team relies on each athlete's registration dues to help pay for meet registrations, transportation, warm-ups, team snacks, coaching stipends, the awards banquet, etc. This year's registration dues will remain at $250. Please make checks out to LHS Track Booster Club. Don't forget to include the athlete's name on the check, especially if their last name is different from the parent's. Beginning Monday, November 7th, checks can be given to Coach Tigue directly. in room 2302. Please don't just leave a check on his desk if he is not in his room!

Preseason ConditioningExpiredBeginning Monday, November 14th, we will meet for preseason conditioning every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday that we have school for the rest of the semester. We will meet at the track near the starting line at 4:00 pm and we will finish up around 5:00 pm. These conditioning sessions are optional, and attendance will only be taken to verify you have a physical uploaded to DragonFly. However, they will help us prepare for the upcoming season. Please don’t try to attend if you know you have not been cleared.

While both the boys and girls came up a little short from winning, there were plenty of personal bests to go around. Cambridge Invitational ResultsExpiredCongratulations to our varsity girls for staying undefeated and winning the Cambridge Invitational on Saturday. Once again, every event group contributed to our points total. The boys finished 2nd but had enouph points to help both squads earn the "combined score" title. Also, congratulation to Amanda Feeney, Isabelle Gaharan, Bella Cammarota, and Caroline Harris for smashing the school's 4 x 800m Relay record by over nine seconds! Region ChampionsExpiredCongratulations to our girls for winning the Region Championship last night. It was a total team effort as the girls got contrinutions from every event group to overcome a 16 point deficit from day to win their first region title since 2016! We also had 2 new school records set last night! Congratulations to Salima Jabbie for setting the school record in the 100m Dash in 11.95 and to Evelyn Foster for setting the school record in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.24. While the boys finished fourth, the future looks bright as we return a lot of young talent next year! Girls and Boys Win at RoswellExpiredCongratulations to both the boys and girls varsity teams for winning the "Swarm at the Nest" Invitational! The girls won convincingly, scoring 161 points, beating the next best team by over 70 points! Nearly every girl that competed for Longhorns helped contribute to the point total for the team! It was much closer for the boys, but they were able to do just enough in the 4 x 400m to hold on to their 1 point victory, scoring 84.5 points. Milesplit Results Live Results

McEachern Invitational InformationExpiredAs of 6:40 this morning, the meet will go on despite the rain. Field events have been moved to a 10:00 am start, so the bus will depart from the stadium at 7:30 this morning. If you are not riding the bus, please be at the venue at least an hour before you are scheduled to compete. It will be a rolling schedule for running events. Wolverine Invitational InformationExpiredThis Saturday, March 26th, we will be competing at the Wolverine Invitational at West Forsyth High School. You can find the meet schedule, admission information, and more information by clicking on the link below. Wolverine Invitational Meet Information Lambert Contestant List Meet Program If you need to ride the bus, please be at the stadium by 7:15 am. We will roll out at 7:30 am. Many of you will not be competeing until the afternoon so if you are riding with your parents, please be there 90 minutes before you are scheduled to compete. If I need to look for you, your’e late and you will be riding the us from here on out.

Today's PracticeExpiredWe will wrap up practice today at 5:00 pm. The radar is showing that the rain is going to ease up around 4:00 and resume again after 5:00 pm. Therefore, we will try to practice outside today. If it is still raining when we realease from school, we will move practice to the upstairs gym. Listen for an afternoon announcement.

Forsyth County Championship InformationExpiredBelow You will find information for the Forsyth County Championship meet to be held at West Forsyth High School. Students will be dismissed from class at 12:00 pm. Due to transportation limitations, athletes may ride with their parents to the meet if they wish. Athletes needing transportion to the meet will have two bus options: Depart at 12:30 pm from the stadium (all field event athletes and athletes in the 4 x 800m Relay and early heats of the 100m Dash that need transportation should be on this bus) Depart at 1:30 pm (all other athletes needing transportation) We will have one bus come back to Lambert at the conclusion of the meet Heat Sheets Meet Schedule GoFan Tickets Map

Cambridge "Wake the Bear" InvitationalExpiredWe will have two departure times for those athletes participating in the Cambridge "Wake the Bear" Invitational. Field events will begin at 9:00 am but the running events do not start until 12:30 pm. The first bus will depart from the stadium at 7:30 am. Any field event athletes not riding with their parents need to be on that bus and should be at the stadium by 7:15 am. If you are riding with your parents, be at the Cambridge track by 8:00 am. The second bus will depart at 10:45 am for those athletes participating in the running events. If you are riding with your parents, be at the stadium by 11:30 am. Practice Schedule this WeekExpiredAs I am sure you are aware, there is no school Friday, Monday and Tuesday. With President’s Day falling in between two meets, it is important to keep up with our training as best we can. Pole Vaulters and Throwers should check with Coach Negley or Coach Donnel to see when they are practicing. For everyone else: Friday: We will practice from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. Monday: practice will be optional (4:00 pm to 5:15 pm) please make every effort to attend if you are in town. Tuesday: 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm

Roswell Swarm at the NestExpiredRoswell Swarm at the Nest Entries All competing athletes will be expected to ride the bus, which will depart from the stadium at 8:00 am. You do not need to ride the bus home, but you will need to check out with Coach Tigue when you leave with your parents. No athletes are allowed to ride home with other athletes or with anyone else’s parents without written parent permission. Athletes will be responsible for their own snacks and drinks. I’m guessing the meet won’t end until late afternoon, so plan accordingly.
